The Biad: A new way to dimension angles

Finding it difficult to dimension angles to a common reference? Having to create separate geometries just to get the dimensions matching? No more! With this simple and quiet trick, you will be able to dimension angles the way you want, without having to create additional reference geometries!

Trim Feature, no more Ctrl + Z

Have you ever trimmed your sketch, slipped and then had to redo the entire thing? After watching this video, you won’t ever have to do that again!

Has this ever happened to you? You create a part and half way through realize that you forgot to add in a relation or dimension, gone back to the sketch, added the missing relation, come up with a conflict in your sketch and ended up playing guess and check with what relation is causing the conflict and how removing a relation will change your sketch?

Well do this no longer, the SketchXpert tool provides an elegant and easy solution to this problem!

Using Excel in SOLIDWORKS

This video will go over how to use Excel in SOLIDWORKS!
Ever had multiple sketches or parts with the same features but different dimensions? Well after this video you'll no longer have to re draw each sketch but simply type in the dimensions and click ok!

SOLIDWORKS Video - Misaligned Mates and Mate Enhancements in SOLIDWORKS 2018

In SOLIDWORKS 2018, there are some enhancements in mates. New enhancements makes it easier for us to work with hidden surfaces as well as creating a new type of mate called misaligned mates.

These enhancements allows users to focus on the designing process and less of re-modelling legacy data or hiding and unhiding components to create a simple Mate.

SOLIDWORKS Forming Tools

Creating forming tool is relatively easy and can be done in a few clicks in SOLIDWORKS.  Let’s take a look at creating a simple forming tool.

Forming tools are used only with Sheet Metal parts. Forming tools acts as dies and it is used to bend or stretch sheet metal components.

Be mindful that deformation is not considered during the forming process, resulting a uniform thickness through the formed feature.
