Austech 2010 Success or a Failure?

May 20, 2010, 1:47 pm

Austech exhibition this year did show again that the manufacturing in Australia is still alive. Competition in many fields is growing, particularly in the field of CAD/CAM software in which our company NC Computer Systems Pty Ltd is involved. For the last 25 years or so we have been observing this trend and it is also good to see that many of the companies and their products have matured over that time. The latest version of our well established software Camworks was of great interest to our existing customers or to new prospects looking for programming CNC Mill, Lathe or EDM.  It has again showed that each year there has been significant improvement and that it keeps in step with the latest changes in computer hardware and operating systems technology. The same goes for more recent products we are offering like Metacam for sheet metal industry which is bringing more power to programmers of CNC profile cutting or turret punch machines. Many of our existing customers with previous versions of CAD/CAM for these machines have now easy upgrade path. Progress and improvements were also well received with our low budget yet high productivity solid modeling Alibre 3D Design software. In one sentence, Austech 2010 was a success.
