Alibre News-2012

November 4, 2011, 12:36 pm

Sketch mode in previous versions of Alibre Design, if you wanted to use the majority of the

tools, such as adding sketch figures, placing dimensions, or adding sketch constraints, you would have to

use the toolbar icons. This meant moving the mouse cursor from the current location on the screen all

the way up to the toolbar menus and then back down to the place where you initially needed it. The

advantage of In-Place Editing Controls is that the control will show above the mouse cursor allowing for

quicker access to the most commonly used commands.  The three different ways in Alibre Design 2012

to activate the In-Place Editing Controls are:

1. Left mouse click

2. Press the spacebar

3. Press the scroll wheel on the mouse

The controls that are shown are dependent upon which workspace you are in and if any sketch figures

are selected. For example, if you have some sketch figures selected and activate the In-Place Editing

Controls you will have different options available to you then if you did not have any items selected.
